Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Today, I want to take a moment to pay tribute to an extraordinary individual who has left an indelible mark on my life – my brother, mentor, and role model, Ibrahim B Liman. Your presence in my life has been a source of inspiration, guidance, and unwavering support.
One cherished memory stands out – you affectionately referred to me as “PS” since my early days at FRCN, praying for my success as a Federal Permanent Secretary. Our regular check-ins, where you’d ask about my well-being and say, “Sunana Ibrahim Liman,” have stayed with me. You’d often say, “Silence is a confirmation of no problems.”
June 29th, 2017, remains etched in my memory, filled with the warmth and kindness you showered upon me. Your ability to connect with others, empathy, and generosity have touched countless lives.
Though it’s been eight long years without your mentorship, your legacy lives on in my heart. I still say, “Adieu Oga Liman,” remembering your wisdom, counsel, and encouragement. You’re a shining example of living a landmark tribute to a brother, mentor, and role model. Your legacy will continue to inspire me and others.
I wish you were here to see my success and fulfillment. I’m sure you’d be proud of the person I’ve become. May Allah grant you Jannatul Firdaus, and may your family find comfort and strength.
As I bid you farewell, I pray that Allah blesses your family with patience, love, and peace. May your memory inspire us all, and may your impact be felt for generations.
*Allah Ya sa kana Aljanna Oga Liman.*
