Kano Belongs to APC, ADC Is Finished — Governor Yusuf Tells Supporters

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) holds no political relevance in Kano State, describing the party as “dead on arrival” due to internal crises and lack of popular support.
The governor’s position was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.
Governor Yusuf made the remarks while addressing a large crowd of supporters in Kano shortly after returning from Abuja, where he participated in key political engagements.
According to him, the ADC has been engulfed in unresolved internal conflicts that have significantly weakened its structure and reduced its chances of gaining political traction in Kano’s dynamic landscape.
He further stated that beyond its internal challenges, the party lacks the grassroots acceptance and credibility required to compete effectively in the state.
The governor emphasized that Kano remains firmly under the control of the ruling political structure, which he said continues to enjoy overwhelming support from the people.
He urged party loyalists to remain united, vigilant, and committed to consolidating the achievements recorded under his administration.
Governor Yusuf also reassured residents of his administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises, stressing that governance and development remain top priorities.
He expressed optimism about the future of the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We will rally solid support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and I am very optimistic that APC will, In sha Allah, win all elective positions in 2027,” the governor said.
He added that the partnership between Kano State and the Federal Government is already yielding positive results, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development and social safety initiatives.
“We will deliver APC with a landslide victory,” Governor Yusuf affirmed.
