Engr Abba Ganduje Welcomes Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to APC
Engr Umar Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, popularly known as Abba Ganduje, has formally welcomed Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf into the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the development as a historic turning point for the political and developmental trajectory of Kano State.
Abba Ganduje, the Executive Director, Technical Services at the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), also serves as Secretary of the Venue Committee for the official reception ceremony organised in honour of the governor’s entry into the ruling party.
In a statement issued ahead of the reception, he said the governor’s decision reflects a bold and strategic move aimed at strengthening unity, fostering inclusive governance, and accelerating socio-economic transformation across the state.
Tapping into the Renewed Hope Agenda
He further emphasised that Kano State stands to benefit immensely from the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the new political alignment will position the state to tap into expanded federal interventions, infrastructure investments, and economic empowerment programmes under the current administration.
According to him, closer collaboration with the Federal Government would open greater opportunities in critical sectors such as rural electrification, transportation, agriculture, healthcare, education, and job creation.
“This alignment will enable Kano to key fully into the giant Renewed Hope Agenda, ensuring that our people benefit from transformative policies and programmes designed to uplift communities and stimulate economic growth,” he stated.
Commitment to a Successful Reception
Abba Ganduje assured that the Venue Committee has finalised arrangements to host a befitting reception that reflects the importance of the political milestone. He called on party faithful and supporters across the 44 local government areas to remain orderly and united as they welcome the governor into the APC family.
He described the event as more than a ceremonial gathering, saying it represents a renewed commitment to collective progress, stability, and sustainable development for Kano State.
The reception is expected to attract prominent party leaders, elected officials, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, youth groups, and women organisations, marking what organisers have termed a new era of progressive governance in the state.
