APC National Chairman Visits Gov. Yusuf, Reaffirms 60/40 Leadership Sharing Formula
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has paid a courtesy visit to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, where he reaffirmed the party’s 60/40 leadership-sharing formula aimed at strengthening unity and inclusiveness within the state chapter.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Monday.
Prof. Yilwatda expressed satisfaction with the impressive turnout of party leaders and supporters at the meeting, describing it as a clear demonstration of solidarity, enthusiasm, and commitment to the APC’s collective agenda in Kano.
60/40 Formula to Promote Inclusiveness
Reiterating the 60/40 leadership-sharing arrangement between new decampees and existing party members, the APC National Chairman explained that the formula was carefully designed to promote inclusiveness, foster unity, and ensure effective participation of all stakeholders in both party and governance activities.
He noted that the large gathering was a positive signal that would not only consolidate the party’s structure in Kano but also bolster support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and strengthen his prospects in the forthcoming general elections.
Commendation for Party Leaders
Prof. Yilwatda commended Alhaji Yusuf Gawuna and Senator Barau Jibrin for setting aside personal ambitions and aligning with the governor’s broader vision for unity and progress within the party.
He also praised Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his leadership and sustained contributions to the growth and cohesion of the APC in Kano State.
