Matawalle Charges Kano Pilgrims Board Staff on Discipline, Unveils Welfare Support Initiative
The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has urged staff of the Board to demonstrate greater dedication, discipline, and commitment in carrying out their official responsibilities, emphasizing that professionalism is vital to the success of Hajj operations in the state.
Alhaji Matawalle made the call during a general staff meeting held at the Board’s Conference Hall, where he highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring effective and efficient welfare services for intending pilgrims from Kano State.
The Director General stressed that the Board’s mandate of providing quality services to pilgrims can only be achieved through hard work, integrity, and cooperation among staff members. He noted that the success of pilgrimage operations depends largely on the commitment and efficiency of personnel responsible for planning and executing various activities.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to staff welfare, Matawalle assured workers that management would continue to prioritise their well-being by creating a conducive working environment that promotes productivity and job satisfaction. He pledged sustained support to enable staff members perform their duties smoothly and effectively.
In a move aimed at improving staff support systems, the Director General announced plans to establish a Staff Welfare Desk Officer. The desk, he explained, would be responsible for addressing staff-related challenges, particularly issues affecting personnel facing health or other incapacitating conditions from time to time.
According to him, the initiative is designed to reduce workplace difficulties, boost morale among staff, and ultimately enhance the Board’s overall service delivery to pilgrims.
Matawalle further called on staff members to reciprocate management’s efforts by upholding the highest standards of honesty, discipline, teamwork, and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
