A Message to the Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Anas Mukhtar Bello
With all due respect, comparing yourself to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is not only misplaced, but it also exposes a lack of understanding of both history and leadership. Dr. Ganduje is not your mate in governance, political relevance, or public service. If you doubt this, you are free to ask—it’s not too late to learn.
You publicly challenged Dr. Ganduje and APC stakeholders from Dawakin Tofa to mention a single project worth ₦10 million executed in each of the 11 wards during his eight years as Executive Governor. Such a statement reflects poor political judgment and a lack of understanding of the broader scope of leadership impact. Dr. Ganduje’s legacy spans far beyond ward-level projects—he has transformed lives, built institutions, and positioned sons and daughters of Dawakin Tofa across influential places in Nigeria.
Your own leadership as the current chairman is deeply questionable. You consistently bypass due process by awarding contracts to yourself without proper Executive Council approvals. Projects are reportedly executed without transparency, with supervision done in secrecy—even at midnight. You arrive at the office at odd hours and yet want to parade yourself as a model leader?
Leadership is not about self-glorification or attacking the legacy of those before you. Dr. Ganduje remains a towering figure in Dawakin Tofa’s political history. Whether you like it or not, no son of Dawakin Tofa has achieved what he has achieved to date. His name is already written in the history of our people—and history will remain kind to him.
Instead of attacking those who paved the way, focus on learning, leading with integrity, and delivering your responsibilities with humility. Dawakin Tofa deserves better than empty political theatrics.
