Retired Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Umar, the newly appointed Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services in Kano State, has called for collaboration with all security agencies to tackle insecurity challenges in the state.
Upon assuming duty, Commissioner Umar emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve better results, stating, “We will deepen collaboration with traditional rulers, religious leaders, security agencies, community stakeholders, and civil society in building resilient local security structures.”
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen on Monday by Muhammad Idris Dahiru the Director Public Enlightenment ministry of internal security Kano State.
The statement added that the commissioner pledged to work with integrity and diligence to safeguard lives and property, recognizing the sensitivity of his task and the importance of security as the foundation of progress.
Umar commended Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf for the appointment and vowed to promote justice, equity, discipline, and the upliftment of the common man.
