The Kano State Government has inaugurated a high-level Health Sector Reform Committee, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to strengthening the state’s healthcare delivery system. The committee, established under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, aims to initiate critical reforms and transformation within the Ministry of Health.
The committee’s mandate includes conducting a thorough evaluation of challenges facing government-owned health facilities, particularly in regards to inadequate medical equipment and human resource gaps. The assessment will cover all levels of healthcare services, from primary to tertiary care.
Upon completion of its assignment, the committee is expected to present practical and strategic recommendations that will enable the government to implement sustainable, efficient, and accessible healthcare solutions for all residents of Kano State.
